Guide Card C11
To reduce memory work, the portable guide card shows the 24 signs for the pronunciation code on one side in a six by four frame grid. The other side shows the picture associated with the word as a reminder of the speech sound for that sign. This essential tool is always accessible while the pupil is reading.

'Spelling for Sure' Workbook C12
Each of the 1000 words in the Reading for Sure™ System Teaching Kit is listed alphabetically in the spelling book. Each list is followed by three columns for practising the words before testing them in a fourth column. This resource ensures that words that are read can also be spelled and the words that are spelled are relevant to the pupil’s sense of achievement.

'Sound and Spell' charts C13
#1 Vowels A wall or desk chart set out in the same 24 frames as the guide
card. Each frame contains the pronunciation sign with a list of the variations
in English spelling for that vowel sound. This is used to discover the
‘word specific’ spelling for difficult and new words.
#2 Consonants A wall or desk chart which lists the variations in English
spelling that can be used when writing consonants.
Sound and Spell Book C14
Combines all the contents of the Guide Card and the two ‘Sound and Spell’ charts in an A5 size book for quick reference, with each page showing the list of spelling variations for English selected spelling vowels or consonants. It comes with a window to test out the optional spellings.

Completion Award Certificates C16
A powerful incentive for continuing to accept challenging tasks is the record of the pupil’s achievement. Awards and certificates (as well as concrete ‘prizes’ for the younger ones) validate the pupil’s efforts and their own control over success. A series of certificates for each goal achieved in the Reading for Sure™ programme is available (including complementary bookmarks).
