• Tutor Instructions
  Comprehensive 'Train the Trainer' materials to assist tutors in confidently taking their pupils through each of the sessions. Includes the Basics of Reading, Training Tips, and Trouble Shooting Strategies for difficult situations.
   
• Practice Sessions
  Each of the 24 Marking Symbols is introduced in a simple, easy-to-understand manner. They include the Short Vowels (Sessions 1-6 on Disk 1), Long Vowels (Sessions 7-12 on Disk 2), and Other Sounds (Sessions 13-18 on Disk 3). Word lists are provided, so the pupil can practice pronouncing the new sound symbol with common words.
   
• Marked Stories
  Each Marking Symbol is introduced in its own Reading Session. Three stories are included after each session, to allow the pupils to practice pronouncing the new words they have learnt. The stories are graduated in difficulty ('A' is very basic, through to 'C' which is the most complex).
   
• Games
  A set of twenty Games have been included on the CD. They can be printed for playing off the computer. Many of them also have an on-screen (computer) version. The Games promote vocbulary and language development. They also provide another option for pupils who have trouble concentrating - they allow a change of focus, while still providing the essential development of thinking and reading skills.
   
• The Library
  A great collection of printable documents to assist in turtoring! Includes a range of Certificates, Posters, Charts and Card Games.
