Our reading products are divided into two main categories:

Stepping Ahead! Program
Before your pupil can successfully read in English, they need to have some basic language and vocabulary skills. These include:

  • recognising the shapes of the letters of the alphabet (graphemes);
  • recognising that different letters have different sounds (phonemes);
  • blending consonant and vowel sounds to say words; and
  • having a vocabulary of basic English words.

The Stepping Ahead! program builds these skills through a range of fun activities and resources!

Reading for Sure Program        
The Reading for Sure program begins with the System Teaching Kit. This is a system that introduces your pupil to our 24 Marking Symbols - the key to confidently pronouncing and reading English words. Each symbol is introduced in a separate session, with practice exercises, marked word lists, and marked stories to reinforce and expand the learning.

The Reading for Sure program includes all of the instructions, activities and resources you will need for your pupil to become a Confident Reader!
